Thanks: 1 times
It is always hard to pick a favourite show with so many great productions in London. I however thought two shows really stood out last year...

'The Two Character Play' at the Jermyn Street Theatre and 'Polar Bears' at the Donmar Warehouse.

My reviews for both are in the feature review section of the website.

Are there any wonderful shows I missed? Let me know what your favourites were?

So many to choose but perhaps The Phantom of the Opera is the highlight for me. Still impresses after all these years.....

There r sooooo many fantastic shows in London, its impossible to pick just one! I have 4 & nothing yet has come close to taking them off the spot. I thoroughly recommend Love never dies, phantom, we will rock you and mama mia. Something for everyone in all of these. What do you think?

My least favourite show I'm afriad has to go to Dirty Dancing. It was a couple of years ago now since I have seen it so it may have improved. But having grown up with the film and knowing the lines by heart I felt a bit let down by the stage show. However, that also could be my fault for knowing the film too well and knowing the lines that were about to be said before the actors said them. Despite this I do feel the end scene was done great. It brought in all the atmosphere from the audience and really left on a high. This magic just needs to be portrayed a bit more throughout the show and it would be a fantastic night out. Then again as I said it was a couple of years since I have been so maybe it has?! Do you know?

Dangerous Liaisons
Lord Stanley Pub Theatre
I was stunned at the reality, their performances conveyed to the audience in telling such a great storey and morality tale, on such a small stage, in this intimate pub theatre. It’s unmissable just to learn more of what both sexes are really up to and against in the battle of the sexes, starting from this historic viewpoint. Very rear to see such talents in shows in London. Well worth the trek from Camden Town Tube. Sir Hughie
