This show is based on Walt Disney’s animated film The Lion King that came out in 1994. After it was successfully made into a musical in America, the stage version opened in London in 1999. It has been a success in London as well, and won awards such as Best Theatre Award of the Visit London award 2007. The songs are by Elton John and Tim Rice. It’s the story of a young lion, Simba, whose uncle Scar no longer has the chance of taking over the throne when Simba is born, and decides to try and kill Simba and his father, the king.

I absolutely loved The Lion King, the musical. It was amazing. The music, costumes, lights, stage, actors, design, back drop were all so realistic 'every little detail was stunning'

A must see! Amazing singers and actors. The show starts with a parade of the animals of the jungle walking through the audience to go to the stage. Singers voices are very high standard and the drums will leave you speachless. Definitivey recommended!

It is about the enemies in the Lion Kingdom and especially about the friendship/trust & love littly Symba encounters when he grows up. The movie made me cry, but I kept my eyes dry with this one! The costumes are beautifully made, and expect something to happen not only on the stage!!! We left the theatre feeling happy and it was a nice night out.
